Advertised Job Summary
The AV Services Manager will manage the set up and maintain the enhanced multimedia classrooms, while providing and implementing strategic improvement plans for classroom support. This will include training faculty and staff on the classroom technology. In addition, this AV Services manager will provide end user support on for faculty, staff and students in both Mac and Windows environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in related field and 2 years experience in repair and maintenance of electronic equipment, or high school diploma and 4 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 4 years related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
In-depth knowledge of the capabilities and intricacies of AV systems and applications. Ability to manage, set up, monitor, and maintain multimedia enhanced classrooms. Ability to write, revise, and present user documentation and training as it relates to classroom technology. Ability to understand and carry out complex AV technical and non-technical requests. Ability to analyze and convert AV technical instructions to materials that can be understood by non-technical personnel. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT and AV personnel under limited supervision. Ability to analyze end user needs and assist them . Ability to explain highly technical information in non-technical terms. Strong customer service skills.
