Job Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is seeking a Program Manager of Admissions Communications. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions Communications, the Program Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of email, print, and website communications for prospective students, high school counselors, and community-based organizations. The primary objective of the Program Manager is to design and implement internal and external communications that build awareness of University of Cincinnati. In addition, the Program Manager will ensure the communication plans build affinity among prospective students all while driving students towards enrollment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management and organization skills, the proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, and excellent written communication skills.
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinnati Tri-State Area. The hybrid arrangement is 60% in the office, and 40% remote. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
- Implement policies and procedures.
- Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.
- Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
- May prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of relevant experience
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience in Slate CRM.
- Must be able to proofread content for errors and inconsistencies.
- Ability to create both strategic and transactional messaging to drive applications, admits, and ultimately enrollment at University of Cincinnati.
- Candidate must be willing and able to work select evenings and weekends (5-10 times per year).
