Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Athletics department
encourages applications for a Special Assistant to the Head Coach, Football Strategies. This position is responsible for providing
assistance to the Head Football Coach (HFC) in supporting the goals of the football program, game planning, and overall insight of the day
to day operations of the football team. This position will work primarily with the offensive football staff to promote the Head Coach’s
philosophy.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This
shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletics’ Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core
Values Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA. The University

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Assist Offensive Football Staff:

  • Assist the Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and other offensive coaches with
    offensive installs, game planning and more. Meet regularly with the HFC to ensure the philosophy is being upheld in the daily operations of
    the offense.

Program Insight:

  • Assist HFC by performing frequent self scouts of the current team to find holes and
    deficiencies. Assist in scouting of opponents and how the current staff can exploit weaknesses. Offer counsel to the Head Coach on opponents
    and where the current team stands to improve overall play on the field.

Special Projects:

  • Assist with special
    projects for the football program. Projects may include assisting in roster management, depth charts, recruitment and more.

Related Football Program Support:

  • Provides assistance to implement and coordinate the vision of the HC, as it
    pertains to any and/or all areas of the program. Assist with any and all football operations duties including camps and clinics, social
    media, and websites.

What We Can Offer

  • The salary range for is $50,000- $65,000 annually.
  • Additional Compensation Details:
    • Relocation assistance and a
      signing bonus are available within department guidelines.

What We Require

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • One year of experience working in a Division I football
    program.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
