Violent Minds: Killers on Tape Coming to Oxygen True Crime – TVREAL

Oxygen True Crime, a multiplatform crime destination for women, has slated the debut of Violent Minds: Killers on Tape for April 2.

The series explores the never-before-heard inmate tapes of psychiatrist Dr. Al Carlisle, who recorded his conversations with some of the U.S.’s most brutal killers to discover what drives a seemingly normal person to exhibit violent tendencies. The premiere will feature two back-to-back episodes centered on Ted Bundy.

Carlisle met Bundy after he was arrested and charged for aggravated kidnapping in Utah in 1975, before he became known as one of the most notorious serial killers. Carlisle also recorded his conversations with Bundy’s mother, friends, girlfriend and exes.

Additional killers profiled in the seven-episode series are the HiFi Killers, Arthur Gary Bishop and Manny Cortez.

Violent Minds: Killers on Tape is produced by Ample Entertainment and Motive8. Ari Mark, Phil Lott and Kathryn Vaughan serve as executive producers for Ample alongside Kara Kurcz and Brian Lee for Motiv8.

In addition to airing on Oxygen True Crime, the complete series will stream on Peacock.
