Exclusive! Vidisha Srivastava aka Anita Bhabhi of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! is expecting; the baby is due in June – Times of India

Vidisha Srivastava, who joined Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! to play the new Anita bhabhi following the exit of Nehha Pendse in February last year, is pregnant. She is due in June. Like her marriage, she has been tight-lipped about her pregnancy as well. We had reported about her marriage last year. She tied the knot with Sayak Paul, who is not from the industry, in December 2018, in her hometown, Banaras.

While Vidisha could not be reached for comment, a source from the show said, “Vidisha is six months pregnant. People haven’t figured it out yet, as her baby bump isn’t too obvious. She will take a maternity break of around three months after her delivery. We will keep a bank of episodes and her scenes ready in advance so that the break doesn’t affect the show. This is exactly how we did when Saumya Tandon (the original Anita bhabhi) went on a four-month maternity break.”

Vidisha has no plans of quitting the show. The source said, “The production house is not contemplating any replacement because it is certain that she will return to the show post her break.”
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! has seen three actresses play the character of Anita Bhabhi so far. The show hit the tube in 2015 with Saumya Tandon portraying the part. She quit in 2020 and Nehha Pendse replaced her. Two years later in February 2022, Nehha, too, quit the show and that’s when Vidisha stepped in to play the character.
