Professor asks for sexual favours from student in UP’s Jaunpur, video goes viral | Varanasi News – Times of India

VARANASI: In a shocking viral video, a professor of a college affiliated to VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur is seen shamelessly asking for sexual favours from his student. Though no formal complaint was lodged by the girl so far, the Jaunpur police took Suo Moto cognizance of the video and started an investigation.
According to reports, the girl herself recorded the conversation and uploaded it on social media to expose the teacher. Soon the video went viral on social media platforms showing the professor repeatedly asking the girl for favours and she politely denies.
Taking a suo moto cognizance of the viral video, the police initiated a probe into the matter on Friday. When the Jaunpur SSP office was contacted, the police said that the matter is being probed.
The college authorities could not be contacted despite repeated attempts.
