A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj has been slapped with a hefty fine, after a video of her dressed as a bride and sitting on the bonnet of a moving car, went viral on social media. According to a PTI report, the woman was identified as one Varnika Chaudhary by the cops after the video got widely circulated. In the video, the woman can be seen sitting on top of a Tata Safari Storme while the SUV navigates through a busy road. Here is the viral clip.

As we can see in the video, the woman is dressed as a bride and sitting on top of the moving SUV. This poses danger to the woman herself and other motorists on the road as the vision of the driver is compromised. The cops reportedly had the woman under their scanner as she had earlier filmed herself riding a two-wheeler without a helmet.

Since the cops initiated a probe, the woman has been fined Rs 17,000 for her violations. Rs 16,500 fine has been imposed for the SUV-related violation and Rs 1,500 for the two-wheeler related violation. The recurrence of such incidents is a clear indication of how social media users are increasingly violating rules in order to grab attention online. However, such actions can have dire consequences that affect you directly and others as well. It is always advised to follow all traffic rules for a safe experience on public roads.
